With the holidays just around the corner, I thought it would be timely to share my new article - Why We Don’t Wear Gear where I discuss how wearing gear actually exacerbates any issues we have and to shed light on the fact that shoes with arch support and elevated heels (read as almost every shoe that exists) count as supportive gear for your feet. Tight ankles, Achilles issues, nerve issues, plantar fasciitis, etc. are common issues that people try and solve with special shoes instead of working on strength and mobility. This months health challenge is to start reclaiming the full use of your feet by wearing shoes that create a more natural foot and, therefore body, position.
