We want to have a positive and profound impact on as many people’s lives as possible!
Cut from a different fitness cloth, we are proud to be outsiders; willing to accept the reality that certain societal norms are holding people back in their lives and that the only way up is to take on new challenges that develop our body and mind.
Training for and participating in an Obstacle Course Mud Race is a perfect way to challenge ourselves in a way that may be outside our comfort zone. Life gets better when you build your ability to tackle the unknown.
In preparation for the Dallas Spartan Beast Obstacle Course Race on Oct. 23, MovementLink and Outsiders Barbell will be hosting a series of progressive training workouts to help prepare you to have a blast on event day! You don’t have to be participating in the Beast in October to come test and develop your capacity!

The progression of Outsiders OCR Prep workouts will lead up to the 22k Spartan Beast in October, but each training event we host will have different options that can progress you towards any 5k, 10k, or 22k obstacle course or mud run you’d like to train for. Depending on your current fitness level, the runs and challenges can be scaled to meet you where you are and still progress you forward.

Please note: Outsiders Barbell is not an “Obstacle Gym.” The challenges at the Outsiders OCR Prep Events are functional in nature and will test and develop endurance, strength, skills, and ability to handle the unknown needed in obstacle course-type events: ropes, sleds, sandbags, pull-up rig challenges, stones, etc., but does not have the actual obstacles.
