Sara Wilkinson and GORUCK present the hero workout “CHAD” - in honor of Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson who took his life on October 29, 2018 due to the effects of numerous deployments, several TBIs, blast wave injuries and PTSD. Our goal is to honor Chad’s life and legacy and to raise awareness for suicide prevention.
CHAD 1000X has brought together thousands of registered participants looking to be a part of something greater than themselves. To not only bring awareness to the epidemic of suicide, particularly among veterans, but also to help be part of the solution through the support to the The Step Up Foundation and other veteran health initiatives.
This year, join us again in paying respect to Chad Wilkinson and all those who have been lost to suicide, while also committing to try to change the number. #CHAD1000X

“If you've been looking for something different to level up your health, fitness, and personal growth, this is it.” (Melissa Urban, Whole30 CEO and New York Times best-selling author)
Discover the evolutionary mind and body benefits of living at the edges of your comfort zone and reconnecting with the wild.
In many ways, we’re more comfortable than ever before. But could our sheltered, temperature-controlled, overfed, underchallenged lives actually be the leading cause of many our most urgent physical and mental health issues? In this gripping investigation, award-winning journalist Michael Easter seeks out off-the-grid visionaries, disruptive genius researchers, and mind-body conditioning trailblazers who are unlocking the life-enhancing secrets of a counterintuitive solution: discomfort.
Easter’s journey to understand our evolutionary need to be challenged takes him to meet the NBA’s top exercise scientist, who uses an ancient Japanese practice to build championship athletes; to the mystical country of Bhutan, where an Oxford economist and Buddhist leader are showing the world what death can teach us about happiness; to the outdoor lab of a young neuroscientist who’s found that nature tests our physical and mental endurance in ways that expand creativity while taming burnout and anxiety; to the remote Alaskan backcountry on a demanding 33-day hunting expedition to experience the rewilding secrets of one of the last rugged places on Earth; and more.
Along the way, Easter uncovers a blueprint for leveraging the power of discomfort that will dramatically improve our health and happiness, and perhaps even help us understand what it means to be human. The Comfort Crisis is a bold call to break out of your comfort zone and explore the wild within yourself.

There are ALWAYS people who show up who need partners, so even if you’re coming without a planned partner, come anyway and help someone else out!
No one cares about the fitness level of their partner or if you “hold them back”, we just want to workout together!!!
Come join us the first Saturday of each month for our DUBS partner workouts!!!
DUBS is short for doubles, which is our goofy way of referring to partner workouts. These First Saturday DUBS workouts are not just any partner workouts. Like regular classes, everything will be able to be scaled to your level, but these workouts will challenge you a bit more than usual. Our typical hour-long class is extended into an hour and a half, typically with 3 different partner workouts. Don't worry, these workouts are designed to be accessible to everyone while also challenging the more fit in the gym.
People come with someone they are going to partner with already and people show up solo. There are ALWAYS solo people that need a partner, so do someone a favor and even if you don't already have a partner, come on in and lend a hand!!!
Register for DUBS like a regular class!
Can you join DUBS even if you’re not a gym member?
You absolutely may join us or bring someone who is not a member of the gym, but they will need to register ahead of time like it’s a regular class and pay the drop-in fee.
A major goal of our is to not be reasonably limited by any aspects of our fitness. Benchmark week is designed to test all areas of fitness that we feel are important to maximize our ability to take advantage of the amazing things life has to offer. The goal of benchmark week is simply to check in on your progress and identify possible areas that you may want to work on, so that we can make any adjustments needed to our workouts, frequency of exercise, and/or lifestyle.
For each of our benchmarks, we provide different levels, so you can get a feel for where you are on your fitness journey and allow you to compare where you stand across different aspects of your fitness: Power, Strength, Strength Endurance, VO2 Max and Anaerobic Threshold, Functional Endurance, Recoverability, and Functional Skills.
Yellow - Our long-term goal is to be able to complete all benchmarks at these minimum, even when we are 90+ years old. We would like to create as much of a buffer past this as possible in the meantime.
Orange - A great milestone for new members to strive for and be ready to continue past.
Green - This is a great level for all members to work towards and would mean that someone is incredibly fit relative to the general population.
Blue - Blue is where most of the non-competitor, but years-of-experience members will be.
Brown - Someone at the brown level is very advanced.
Black - Someone following MovementLink-type programming 4-6 days a week consistently for 5-10+ years should be able to achieve black in all categories.

When a group of people all perform the same workout, the gains that will result for each individual participant are highly variable. Some may gain a little, some a lot, and some may even get less fit from their workout! Workout stimuli are only part of the equation when it comes to what results from working out. The rest of the equation is made up of many factors that aide or hamper our body’s ability to recover and adapt from the workout.
Come join Coach Kyle and gain a perspective on how workout recovery can and should fit into your fitness journey considerations.

Join us for our annual Memorial Day "Murph". We will have two classes, one at 9am and one at 10:30am. If you’re interested, read the story behind "Murph" and come in humble, grateful, and ready to work hard! Live every workout, we will help you scale appropriately to get the right stimulus out of the workout.
Every year on Memorial Day weekend, CrossFitters in affiliates across the world perform the Hero workout, ‘Murph’. It is a workout that has become synonymous with CrossFit, not just for its brutal toughness, but for what it represents. ‘Murph’ is not simply another workout we do in a class to increase our fitness before moving on to whatever else we have going on in the day. It is a workout designed to honor and remember the men and women of the armed forces that have lost their lives in defense of our freedom. And as is the case with every Hero workout, it has a story of courage and sacrifice behind it.
‘Murph’ is named after Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. He was 29-years-old. After graduating from Penn State University in 1998, Murphy rejected offers to attend law school and instead accepted a commission in the United States Navy and became a SEAL in July 2002. For a man whose nickname was ‘The Protector’, the decision made perfect sense. In fact, when Murphy was in the 8th grade, he was suspended from school for fighting with bullies that were trying to shove a special needs child into a locker. And Gary Williams, author of “Seal of Honor,” a biography of Murphy, recounts a story where Murphy protected a homeless man who was collecting cans from a gang of thugs.
In early 2005 Murphy was assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team ONE as officer in charge of Alpha Platoon and deployed to Afghanistan. In June of that year, Murphy was leading a four-man reconnaissance team in Kunar province as part of a counter-insurgent mission (the other men in Murphy’s team were Danny Dietz, Matthew Axelson and Marcus Luttrell). During the mission the team encountered a group of local goat herders.
A discussion was held among the four SEALs regarding the rules of engagement and what they should do with the herders, who were being held at gunpoint. Eventually the men decided to release them, but not soon after the SEALs were surrounded and ambushed by an overwhelming Taliban force. Murphy, who was trying to reach HQ via satellite phone, willingly exposed himself to enemy fire by stepping into a clearing where he might get a signal to make the call. Murphy was shot in the back, but still managed to calmly complete the call for reinforcements and return to his position to continue the fight with his men. HQ sent an MH-47 Chinook helicopter to rescue the team, but while attempting to set down in rugged terrain, the helicopter was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade, killing all 16 men on board.
Murphy, Dietz, and Axelson were all killed in action. Luttrell was the only survivor and was eventually rescued after several days of wandering the mountain and being protected by the people of an Afghan village.
Murphy was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his courage and sacrifice that day. Every Memorial Day weekend, we remember Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy.oin us for our annual Memorial Day "Murph" on Monday, May 30th. The workout will begin at 9am and scaling options will be provided. If you’re interested, read the story behind "Murph" and come in humble and ready to work!

These statistics may be staggering, but unfortunately with all the myths and misconceptions around fat loss and the challenges of implementing certain strategies, the statistics do not surprise us. Over the years, we have seen so many try to go it alone based mainly off of internet advice and struggle. Even within gym communities who are doing everything correctly from an exercise perspective, there are many still struggling to get the full body composition results they really want because of vast array of misconceptions.
The good news is the solutions are simpler than you may think and don’t require you to weigh and measure all your food, count calories, or dedicate your whole life towards being lean! Through simple, strategic, personalized habits performed most of the time on most days, results are profound.
During the program, through group seminars, 1-on-1 meetings, emails and texts, Kelly will help with
Nutrition and Lifestyle Information,
Strategic Planning,
Accountability
as she lays out the big picture and guides you through selecting and implementing highly effective strategies into your life that fit your personal goals and your lifestyle.
Price: $695 (100% Money Back Guarantee and No Interest Payment Plans Available)
What if I’m out of town for part of the program?
Vacations can be some of some of the largest contributors to weight gain, so having some support to mitigate all or some of that could be a huge benefit. Each 1-on-1 meeting can be done via Zoom or a phone call and any group seminars will be available via Zoom and recorded, so you won’t miss a thing.
What if my schedule doesn’t allow me to attend one or any of the group meetings?
All group seminars will be available via Zoom and recorded, so you won’t miss a thing.
