Come join us for a Sandbag workout that also explores the incredible areas of Austin, TX near Zilker Park, the Hike and Bike Trail, and the Barton Creek Greenbelt!!!
Start and Finish Location: The Monkey Tree by Barton Springs in Zilker Park
What to bring and what to know:
- Most people will be wearing a backpack with weight in it, aka a “ruck”, but this is not required. Weight vests or nothing is fine as we’ll have sandbags to play with too! The recommend ruck weight is 50lb/30lb for extremely advanced ruckers, 30lb/20lb for experienced ruckers, and 20/15 for non-experienced ruckers. MovementLink Recommended Ruck: GORUCK Rucker, but just throw things in any ole’ backpack to get started. 
- Some bring their sandbags just in case, but Kyle will have a variety of sandbags (120s, 80s, 60s, & 40s) for the group to share. MovementLink Recommended Sandbags: GORUCK Sandbags. 
- There are water fountains around, but bring plenty of water, electrolytes, and any nutrition you feel like you need. The event will be between 1.5 and 2 hours. 
- We host this event rain or shine. Wear workout clothes and shoes capable of trail running and getting wet/muddy and prepare for getting back in your car afterwards. 
- These workouts are designed to challenge you at your level, regardless of if you are advanced or beginner, as long as as you’re willing to grind.
